'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak, is a holocaust novel set in Nazi-Germany that focuses on German's who do not support the Nazi party. The book specifically rotates around Liesel Meminger who's story is narrated by the one person who was always around during the holocaust. Death. Liesel lives with her foster parents who are not nazis even though many of their neighbors are. 'The Book Thief' explains the difference between taking something that isn't yours, and what stealing really is through Liesel, a girl who has had everything stolen from her.
