After their loss in World War I, Germans' were embarrassed and angry. Due to having to pay for all the war damages, Germany was a poor country. In Europe at the time, having a lot of conquered land is thought of as having a lot of power. The allied powers took away some of Germany's land after WWI. Germany also was forced to take all of the blame for WWI. This angered many Germans. Hitler was a smart man; he knew it was the perfect time to rise to power. Promises of becoming a proud country once again wasn't a bad thought to many Germans. Soon enough, Jews were seen as the "threat" to the "German racial community".
